You know "that guy"? I'm sure you know do, or you have at least encountered him at some point in your life. Here are some details about him:
- As a child, he was the kid who only missed ONE day of school from 1st grade through 12th grade. One day!
- He only applied to one college because it was "the only one he wanted to attend". And he was accepted.
- He can read a whole book in a day and remember all of the minute, seemingly irrelevant details.
- He can work a room like nobody's business. Even when it is a room full of YOUR family members gathered for a holiday, he has everyone's attention.
- He owns 2 pairs of jeans, but you have seen him wear jeans approximately 5 times. In 5 years.
- He owns 5 t-shirts, but only wears them to exercise.
- He is impeccably dressed every day.
- He owns more bowties than you do shoes.
- He doesn't believe in lounging around in comfortable clothes, so he just stays in his nice clothes until bedtime, making you look like a slob in your yoga pants and t-shirt.
- He never forgets anything. He knows that your first date was on a Wednesday, there was a full moon the night you got engaged, and the names of all of the quarterbacks of his favorite team, their records, etc. You name it, he knows it, and he is quick to point out that you in fact do not know all of this super useful information.
- He can recite all of the Presidents and their VPs in order, ascending or descending. And he does it often.
- He has faced more adversity in his short life than most do in a lifetime, yet he is still fun, funny, caring, kind, and motivated.
- He has a child-like fascination with Harry Potter and is still trying to convince you to spend you last Spring Break ever at Harry Potter World.
- He buys you presents for holidays when you both agree not to buy anything. And then he proceeds to rub the fact that you did not get him anything in your face.
I may be the only one who knows this guy, but I sure am glad I do.
